Marty from Couchville asks...

When applicable, tabs are available for each and every video lesson! When you're watching a video that has a tab that accompanies it, you can click the "Download Tab" link to the right of the video. Conversely, if the tab has a video that goes with it, you can click on the blue link on the tab page to visit the video lesson! You can also search for the tabs/videos in the search bar at the top of the site, in the store itself, or browse by skill level on the instrument pages. Tabs are available in both .pdf and .tef formats!

Lonnie from Clarkston asks...

Tab is short for tablature, which is a form of musical notation that allows pickers without formal music theory knowledge to read the "notes" on the page. It is an incredible resource of communication between student and teacher. Each of the tabs on BanjoBenClark.com come in two file formats...pdf, and .tef (a TablEdit file).

- Ben
Georgia from Alabama asks...

Nope! You're not missing anything! Most EVERY tab has a video that corresponds with it, and vice versa. However, there are some tabs that I've uploaded to the site that do not have a video lesson. And, there are some videos that don't require tabs. If there is a corresponding video or tab, you'll be able to find it on the website!

Richy from The Sticks asks...

TablEdit Tablature Editor is a computer program that allows musicians to create, edit, print and listen to tablature for guitar and other fretted stringed instruments, including mandolin and banjo. However, the full TablEdit program is not needed to read .tef files. You can find the free TEFView reader HERE, and it is the best tool available for pickers of all levels to interactively learn songs. Most tabs available at BanjoBenClark.com also have the rhythm tracks included in the .tef files, so you'll always have someone to play backup for you as you learn a song.

Johnny from Farmsville asks...

I will be adding new content weekly, and I rotate between the 3 instruments taught on the website every week. My goal is to make your subscription price worth every penny and then some!

- Ben
Fran from Raleigh asks...

Well, that must mean you're not logged in right, because Gold Pick members have access to all tabs and videos for one low price. Be sure to click on the red "LOGIN" button at the top of the page to enter your username and password!

J. Wayne from Cowtown asks...

Though by looking at me you may think it possible, I have only officially been recorded whippin' 6 men at one time...though I have to say that 4 of those men were members of the Mexican drug cartel, and the remaining 2 are current NFL linebackers.

Amy from Vermont asks...

I will be uploading learning methods for banjo, mandolin, and guitar...starting with how to string the instruments, hold the pick, and basic theory. In the midst of these videos, I will continue to upload more advanced lessons so as to appeal to all my students. Have a lesson idea? Send it to me via the "Contact" form!

Joe from Houston asks...

I do receive and read EVERY message sent through the form.  Please remember that I receive over 100 emails a day, and I do my best to reply to each and every one. Lifetime and Gold Pick members are my top priority, and those fellers and ladies keep me purty busy! Also, please be patient as I'm the only employee of BanjoBenClark.com, and I'm not able to answer emails 24/7 :)
